Please make sure and inform Mr. Hancock of any and all scholarships you are receiving so we can get them added to the graduation program for May 12th!

The BOGO Bookfair will be back to Mission Valley, May 6th-10th in the elementary library! Shopping hours will be during the school day, 7:45 am-3:45 pm.

Today's baseball and softball games have been canceled due to impending weather. All practices will be done by 4:30.
With the predicted weather for Thursday, Royal Valley decided to move the HS track meet to Friday. Due to school scheduling conflicts, Mission Valley will not be able to attend.

MVHS celebrated its very first College/Career Signing Event today during Viking Hour. Eight Seniors publicly announced their intent to attend different college/universities in & outside the State of Kansas. Each senior was honored for their contributions to Mission Valley, as well providing a brief snapshot of their future endeavors & career goals. StuCo and NHS partnered to teach our elementary about Arbor Day. They presented and played a fun game while learning about trees.
The plan was to plant trees on the playground for each class, but weather delayed that. Stay tuned for the planted trees!

Viking Family....Due to the risk of severe weather tonight which includes damaging wind, flooding, large hail, power outages, and deadly tornadoes, the decision has been made to reschedule prom until next weekend at the original venue (Rocking V Ranch).
This decision was made after a significant amount of communication between school administration, prom sponsors, WabCo Emergency Management & Sheriff Dept, as well as weather information from the NWS/NOAA and the National Storm Prediction Center. Have a safe weekend! GO VIKINGS!
Emma Slade had a big day at St. Marys with a new PR and school record in shot put with a throw of 39'11". She broke the record that had stood since 1987 by over 2'. She is pictured with the previous record holder Julia (Kraus) Flach.

MV hosted Nurse Josey & Nurse Iyanna today for the Career Speaker series. RN Josey & RLPN Iyanna spoke to the JH & HS students about their career paths from HS to where they are now. #MVfutures #MVcareers
Viking Family----The 2024 Mission Valley Prom will now be held at Mission Valley instead of Rocking V Ranch due to the significant weather event forecasted for Saturday and the lack of appropriate, safe shelter for students/guests and faculty.
Please feel free to join the students at the PROMENADE beginning at 7:30 p.m.
PROM will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
JV baseball at Alma has been canceled for today due to the amount of rain yesterday.
